Feel in my music

There are a few times, I am able to think of music as just an emotional feeling, rather than a cerebral one. Most times when I listen to music or compose something I am constrained or rather I constrain myself to enjoying cerebrally. I get into the music emotionally very rarely. But the times I do so, i feel really great. It feels like I have cried for an hour and laughed for a day and danced with joy and drunk myself out with sorrow. Music can essentially express more complicated feelings than words could, though one's understanding of it is subject. But it can touch deeper in the heart than any words could. I suppose that is why, even now hindi filmstars express their love and sadness through songs. Its because thats what reaches closer to the audience rather than a dialogue.

Music when combined with words, as in peotry can become a deadly medium to express oneself. Thats when Bhagat Singh sang 'Rang de Basanti Chola', he got for himself a huge following and so did Gandhiji's 'Raghu Pati Raghava'.

But what is important for me, is how much I get emotionally involved in a music piece. For me, the music is more important than the words in the piece. Just music alone can stir my heart and mind.
